And the winner is……

Ok, so chances are if you’re reading this, you probably haven’t been nominated for a BAFTA, a Grammie or Oscar but there are plenty of award opportunities which exist in the world of business. You might not walk away with a little gold statue if you win, but a prestigious award can really help put your company on the map.

Often seen edging its way to the bottom of the ‘to-do’ list, the process of entering awards can be extremely time consuming and quite frankly a headache, but that pain will all be worthwhile if you are short-listed or win an award for being recognised for being good at what you do!

From regional awards to those specific to your sector, winning or even being shortlisted for an award is great exposure for any business. It’s the ideal platform to shout about the amazing work your company does and helps raise your profile within your sector and the wider business community.

Industry awards are credible endorsements of your business model and set you apart from your competitors. Staff morale is also boosted by any kind of accolade for the business.

As a B2B PR consultancy, we see entering awards as an integral part of the marketing mix. Although time consuming and at times difficult to pull together all the crucial elements of the entry, with a little leg work, being shortlisted or winning can be fantastic for the business, its staff and may even help convert a potential customer into an actual customer. Remember….you’ve got to be in it to win it!
