Congratulations to our client ESPO who is now the proud owner of an Education Resource Award (ERA). The ERAs celebrate outstanding success for the suppliers and teaching professionals of the education sector throughout the UK.
ESPO won the marketing campaign of the year award for its campaign highlighting how it can help schools as they prepare to deliver on the Government’s initiative for all under 8s in state primary schools to receive a free school meal.
As a professional buying organisation, ESPO provides a range of goods and services to the education sector. Following last year’s announcement that all under 8s would be entitled to a free school meal, it was keen to position itself as an organisation able to support schools as they faced the challenge of dishing up extra meals every day. From the need for extra dining room space through to sourcing new kitchen equipment, ESPO was well placed to offer advice to schools on how to ready themselves for the deadline. It therefore launched a marketing campaign to help broaden awareness of the range of catering products and services it provides.
The campaign which included a mix of PR, social media, direct mail, roadshows and an online food toolkit and was hugely successful resulting in an increase in sales of dining room furniture, plastic beakers and plates and an increase in sales of £3.5 million of its catering frameworks.
Here at Skout, we played a small role in this award success helping ESPO create the entry for the award. As a B2B PR agency, writing award entries is one of the many services we offer and we were delighted to see ESPO recognised in these awards.
