However, Vertex’s brand awareness in the UK was low. As part of the business ramping up its marketing activity in the UK, Vertex turned to Skout to drive a PR campaign to grow and enhance its brand awareness, cement its position as an innovative player in the industry and stand out amongst competitors. The campaign would be centred around Vertex’s key messaging: tax transformation, frictionless commerce and being a visionary player in the market.

Where we shone

Skout built a tailored PR campaign around the theme of tax transformation in order to achieve frictionless commerce, as well as commissioning a research project surveying Ecommerce businesses to drive storylines that would resonate with the financial press. This resulted in 39 pieces of coverage throughout 2022; with close to 100,000 coverage views – including a front-page cover story with vertical media target Taxation.

In addition, the team helped Vertex cement its position as being an innovative and forward-thinking leader in the industry by entering Vertex to the FS Awards; the business won the ‘International Finance’ Award.

Skout also delivered a targeted paid media campaign with two key publications, to amplify Vertex’s spokespeople as visionary personnel in the UK and to further build brand awareness in the market. The paid campaign included a series of advertorials, eblasts and online advertising.
