This week I presented a webinar on B2B PR and content marketing to members of BASDA – the trade body for business application software developers. The presentation recording is due to be published online so I will add a link to it from this blog when it’s live.
I introduced myself and Skout to the group then got on to talking about the need to ensure B2B marketing content also has a really compelling story behind it. This is important – research from IDG has shown that telling an engaging story is one of the top three content marketing challenges faced by B2B organisations.
The discussion reminded me about our friends at MojoLife in Manchester, who are excellent helpers to businesses and people struggling to be heard and needing to tell a more interesting story. They helped Skout PR do just that earlier this year and on the back of this have just launched a new way of helping SMEs and social enterprises with their marketing message, called the ‘Mojo Interview’. First you’re coached to get at the real ‘story’ behind your business. Then there’s the interview, produced on video and uploaded if desired to YouTube. You also receive the footage to upload to your own web-site. Audio (podcast) recordings can be provided as an alternative.
Speaking from experience, the Mojo Interview is a great way to help people and businesses with the challenge of standing out when it matters. I certainly found it helpful when presenting today and would recommend checking it out.
