World Cup excitement is building at Skout HQ as England take on Uruguay in Brazil later tonight. England needs to win tonight’s game in order to get through to the next stage of the competition. Ben, our newest Skout, is particularly keen for this to happen as he got England in the office sweepstake.
However, as the nation gathers to get behind the team, there are likely to be a few members of the England camp that will be a little more desperate than usual for England to do well, if not only to take the spotlight from themselves and the negative publicity they’ve been in receipt of.
First up is Coleen Rooney, wife of Wayne who left Manchester with her family members and two children with what can only be described as enough luggage to last the duration of the tournament followed by a couple of months travelling the length and breadth of South America. If England wins tonight all that packing and excess baggage fees will be worth it, and if they don’t, well that’s an awful lot of repacking to do after a four day stint in Brazil.
Next up hoping for their share of England glory are ‘wanna-a-be’ commentators Phil Neville and Rio Ferdinand who have both been hauled over the coals for their woeful commentating skills. Surely if England wins tonight the nation and media will go a little easier on this pair? No? Well it was just a thought!
