Today, we reveal secret number three about the power of natural story telling looking at how it can help you extend your social reach.
Content, content, content! We’re all under pressure to generate more content on a daily basis, whether it’s for a website, new brochure, or social media engagement. Whatever its use, we can’t seem to get enough of it and generating compelling, interesting and engaging content on a regular basis is no mean feat, so starting with the stories from within your business has to be a great place to start.
There are lots of ways to extend your social reach using natural storytelling. Here are just a few:
- Give your brand personality – Who are the personalities behind your brand? What’s their story? Business owners and managers often have interesting back stories that brought them to where they are now. Find out what these are and use them to bring the faces behind your business to life by profiling them on the website and sharing links to them on Twitter.
- Out and about? – At a trade fair or travelling to somewhere interesting on business then share with your Facebook or Twitter followers where you are on your travels. This gives customers an insight into your business and day-to-day operations.
- Run a marathon, swum the channel or climbed a mountain for charity? Tell your followers via your social media channels. Tales of good deeds contribute to your organisation’s CSR efforts and gives you content and imagery to share on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
