2015 is quickly becoming Skout’s most successful year to date! With an award win already in the bag earlier this year, we’re delighted to learn that we’ve been nominated in three categories for the CIPR PRide NW Awards. It’s stiff competition as always though!
One category we’re shortlisted for is Public Sector Campaign. This is for a project we conducted with our public sector procurement client ESPO, which provides government organisations with thousands of products and over 150 frameworks. We felt that although ESPO was well known among its traditional customers – mainly schools in the East Midlands – much of the public sector aren’t aware of what ESPO can offer them. And so, our campaign ‘Awakening The Giant’ was born in which we raised ESPO’s profile within the public sector and educated them on ‘better buying.’ The results included a dedicated news feature on BBC East Midlands Today that highlighted what ESPO is all about, which was a proud moment for ESPO and ourselves.
Our award nominations don’t stop there! We’re also shortlisted in the Integrated Campaign and STEM Campaign categories, both recognising work we did for our client Wax Digital. This recognises our campaign ‘The Buying Game’ in which we positioned the eProcurement provider as a leader in its market. Activities included a debate hosted by Wax’s director that saw corporate buyers discuss how tech innovations could shape the future of procurement. Soon after this, Wax had an exciting new product to unveil – web3 Glass – and we showcased this at industry event eWorld. We gained a front cover story in Supply Chain Digital from this, as well as coverage in 21 other titles.
We’ve got an anxious few months ahead of us as we await the glitzy ceremony at The Midland Hotel in Manchester. Win or not, it’s always great to rub shoulders with other North West PR agencies and see hard work recognised in our industry. Be sure to revisit our blog in November to see whether there’s good news to report…
