It’s been a hectic end to 2014 and start to the New Year here at Skout PR! Not only have we been working on a number of exciting new business pitches (hopefully good news to share about those soon), but we’ve also welcomed the addition of a new Skout, Alex Brown who joined us in mid-December.
We predict a busy year ahead here at Skout as our diaries start to fill up for the coming months. The start of any new year always brings with it a host of predictions on the changes we are likely to see in our sectors and the PR and marketing sector is no exception. I was therefore interested to read this article from Prolific North on predictions from senior industry professionals in the North West on the next big things for 2015.
Three of the predictions discussed in the article really resonated with us at Skout and these are:
- The Autumn Statement announced significant investment in science and culture in Manchester which will hopefully put the city in the spotlight this year. At Skout we’re looking forward to seeing what this investment will mean for Manchester and the wider region.
- 2015 will be the year of wearable technology! As a technology PR agency it’ll be interesting to see what our clients are up to in this space and we’ve already seen one of our clients adapt its software for use with Google Glass.
- And finally, it’s also predicted that PR campaigns will need to deliver more authenticity and innovation for consumers. As advocates of natural PR, developing authentic and creative stories on behalf of our clients, we whole heartedly support this prediction.
