OUR WORK

Optimum Procurement

C-level PR

Expert driven though leadership programmes

THE BRIEF

As a SME with limited internal resource to manage its external communications, Skout proposed delivering an integrated communications programme for Optimum Procurement, which included C-level PR, web, social media and marketing content.

Looking to capitalise on its established business presence and many customer successes, Optimum engaged with Skout to help raise its profile across a number of marketing channels and deliver a group-wide communications planning and management programme.

OUR APPROACH

We created an ‘executive thought leadership team’ at Optimum comprising its CEO, MD and Chief Knowledge Officer.

The materials produced led to coverage in titles such as Procurement Leaders, Supply Management and The Guardian.

Round tables involving leading UK Chief Procurement Officers achieved coverage in Financial Director, Procurement Leaders and Supply Management.

RESULTS AND BENEFITS

Skout helped Optimum to achieve frequent and extremely high-calibre media coverage, outstripping many competitors in terms of quality in core procurement media, but also securing in-depth opportunities in other important outlets such as Financial Director magazine and The Times.

The round table series was also huge success from both a PR and marketing perspective. Not only did attending journalists write in detail about the events, Skout also used the debates as an opportunity to capture rich new content, developing sound bite videos, blogs and downloadable reports to support Optimum’s web and social marketing. Several hundred downloads of Optimum’s debate reports by senior procurement executives and potential future clients were achieved.

We were keen to work with a B2B agency like Skout that understood our business and who could help us shape our external communications.
