Prolific North Award win for Skout!

Skout’s trophy cabinet has a shiny new addition! On Thursday last week we attended the Prolific North Awards. We were up for ‘B2B Marketing/Integrated Communications Campaign’ with our client Wax Digital, and we’re delighted to announce that we won!

‘The Buying Game’ was our award winning campaign in which we aimed to position Wax, a procurement software company, as a leader in its market.

Part one of the campaign saw us host a debate along with Wax’s director and editor of The Next Web, Martin Byrant. This was attended by corporate buyers and top purchasing title, Supply Management. Wax led the debate on how tech innovations, such as wearable technology, could advance corporate buying. We achieved news and blog coverage in Supply Management and other key titles.

We then launched Wax’s wearable tech: web3 Glass. At industry event eWorld, Wax unveiled the world’s first wearable procurement device, which aims to ease the procurement process for organisations. Wax demonstrated how dedicated it is to developing procurement technology, which led to a lead front cover story in Supply Chain Digital, and coverage in 21 other titles.

We used our Natural Storytelling approach to showcase how Wax is at the forefront in procurement technology innovation and we were delighted that ours and Wax’s hard work was recognised at the Prolific North Awards! The glitzy ceremony at Lancashire County Cricket Club saw us compete with other agencies who had collaborated with a client to carry out a successful B2B campaign. As our victory was announced, guests were shown a video of the judges explaining why we were worthy winners. It’s becoming a bit of a habit seeing DJ and Inspiral Carpets’ member Clint Boon at the award ceremonies we attend. He was spinning the decks at this event too, and we’re sure he was delighted to see us happily dance the night away once again.

A big thank you to the Prolific North Awards for a great night, and thanks to our client Wax Digital for working with us on a now award-winning campaign!
