Manchester has been chosen as one of three northern cities to host OpenCo 2014 – a nationwide ‘festival of innovation.’
Sheffield and Liverpool will also take their turn to host the event which will see some of the UK’s most exciting businesses open their doors to the public who will hear from some of the country’s most dynamic and innovative start-ups, entrepreneurs and businesses.
Eight of Manchester’s most innovative companies, three digital hubs and digital accelerator, Up Accelerator feature in the line-up for the Manchester event which is due to take place on 2nd October.
The event will focus on Manchester’s rapidly growing digital eco-system and clusters, with Bright Future Software, EON Reality and UKFast named as just some of the companies taking part. Each company will invite visitors into their places of work to hear their stories behind the business, their vision as well as any new projects or developments they are working on.
The founders of the OpenCo events have described the festival as a mashup of an open studio tour and a tech conference with the vibe of a music festival.
