Yorkshire based skin science specialist, Evocutis, has enlisted Skout to help launch its living skin equivalent model to scientists in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
LabSkin is a breakthrough research tool that can be used as a testing platform by scientists to help develop skin care products that actually stand up to their claims.
Skout is helping to officially launch LabSkin to trade press and raise Evocutis’ profile both nationally and regionally.
Evocutis has a fascinating story to tell. LabSkin is a really interesting development in skin equivalent models and a truly viable alternative to animal testing. We’re delighted to be working with Evocutis and raising awareness of a product that has the potential to change the way skin care treatments or certain drugs are developed and brought to market.
Dr Gwyn Humphreys, chief executive officer of Evocutis, said: “These are exciting times for Evocutis as we launch our first consumable research tool for skin scientists, a unique human skin model constructed from primary skin cells.
In addition to the manufacture of LabSkin, Evocutis also provides advanced laboratory and microbiological evaluations of skin care products for the health, cosmetic and cosmeceutical industries.
Evocutis is the latest organisation to join Skout PR’s growing number of clients in the healthcare sector which includes Locala Community Partnerships and vielife.
