The Skout team was out partying last night at the Golden Hedgehog Awards, PRMoments industry awards do for the North. Held at the Radisson Blue hotel in Manchester, we were joined by some of North’s most creative B2B PR and consumer PR professionals. We were nominated in three categories and although sadly we didn’t get to lift any trophies this time it was great to be a part of the event and celebrate the PR talent that exists in the north.
I was pleased to see TunaFish Media awarded for its Captain Manchester campaign, a stunt we recently featured on this blog. The campaign was launched to raise awareness of a local charity and saw Captain Manchester hit the streets to deliver random acts of kindness.
Compere for the evening was Andy Crane, anyone old enough to remember him from children’s telly in the 80s? He did a mighty fine job of keeping proceedings moving swiftly along, admirably supported by Marcus Bentley, or as he’s better known, the Geordie bloke who does the voiceover on Big Brother.
Once the awards had all been successfully dished out, it was time for the fun to begin and hit the dance floor to tunes delivered by Manchester legend, Clint Boon.
There are sure to be some sore heads in and around Manchester today, but not at Skout HQ! We’re far too well behaved for that……honest!
