Last Thursday saw the CIPR awards take place at the prestigious Midland Hotel in Manchester and with Skout up for three awards it was set to be a nail biting evening!
And what an evening it was as we’re delighted to announce that we won Gold in the ‘Integrated Campaign’ and Silver for STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) campaign with our client Wax Digital; as well as being shortlisted in the public sector campaign category with our client ESPO. Our ‘gold’ winning campaign (which also saw us through to victory at the Prolific North awards) was ‘The Buying Game’ created to position Wax, a procurement software company, as a leader and innovator in its market.
This hatrick award winning integrated PR and marketing campaign consisted of two parts; the first saw us host a debate alongside Wax and the editor of The Next Web, Martin Byrant. Attendees to ‘The Buying Game’ included corporate buyers and top purchasing title, Supply Management who debated about how tech innovations, such as wearable technology, could advance corporate buying. The event was a great success and led to a significant amount of coverage in Supply Management and other key titles.
The next phase saw Wax unveil the world’s first wearable procurement device, web3 Glass, at the industry event eWorld. With Wax able to demonstrate its innovative approach to procurement, we achieved not only a front cover story in Supply Chain Digital but also coverage in 21 other publications.
In addition to some great media coverage, the PR and content generated as part of the campaign helped Wax Digital benefit from a significant increase in leads at its trade event eWorld and more than double its target for downloads of its guide to wearable technologies. ‘Buying Game’ videos were also viewed more times than any other video content previously produced by the organisation.
We’d like to say a big thank you to the CIPR for what was an exceptional evening and no event would be complete with a good old school disco! Congratulations to all those who took home an award that night!
