We are happy Skouts this week as we celebrate our success at this year’s CIPR PRIDE North West awards. We were awarded silver in the STEM campaign category which rewards PR campaign excellence in the science, technology, engineering & maths sectors. This is the second time one of our campaigns has been recognised in this category.
Our entry was entitled ‘Journey to the Cloud’ and focused on the results of a campaign investigating how far IT professionals have got in their pursuit of cloud computing. In a saturated market, it can often be difficult for cloud providers to stick their head above the parapet and be heard, so we decided to run a survey asking IT professionals to tell us how far they were in their journey to cloud computing to give us some valuable insight into the adoption of cloud computing in both the public and private sectors.
Using the results of the survey as a hook for our campaign, we produced a host of content including press releases, blogs, byline articles, infographics, a report and a ‘travel guide’ helping organisations on their journey to cloud computing – all assets which could be used by our clients over and over again.
Our media relations campaign resulted in 50 pieces of fantastic coverage for our client, including coverage in top cloud computing titles, not to mention coverage in key vertical sectors and public sector media.
B2B communications is flooded with content and our approach to natural storytelling, creating real, believable stories for the business that resonate, certainly helped our client tell its story to target audiences.
As a tech PR agency, it can often be difficult to compete with consumer agencies when it comes to award entries, but as our success at the CIPR PRIDE awards shows, there’s room for creativity in all sectors.
